English Excursion to the Berlin Technical University
On October 16th, 2026, the English Advanced Courses with Mr. McPhee and Ms. Mohn went on an excursion to the Technical University of Berlin to visit the Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
The highlight of the trip was a talk by Mr. Cem Avsar, a former student from our school FEO who now works at the institute. He gave us a fascinating look into his work with satellites and explained how the space economy is becoming increasingly valuable. We even got to see a real small satellite up close, and it was impressive to learn that TU Berlin actually has over 30 satellites in space right now!
Overall, it was a great experience. It gave us a really cool insight into university life and gave many of us some new ideas for what to do after graduation!
